Practice Times & Skill Levels
Level 1: Introduction
Tues & Thurs 5:00pm - 6:15pm
Objectives: Basic Tumbling, Stance and Motion, Sprawl and Level Change, Penetration Step, Back Step, Back Arch, Rules, points, and starting positions.
* Wrestlers with no wrestling experience will start here. Once they demonstrate that they can do everything at this level and are mature enough to focus and work independently, they should advance to Level 2.
(Wrestlers can continue to attend Level 1 and Level 2 at the same time.)
Level 2: Development
Mon & Wed 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Objectives: Develop basic offense, defense, and setups, Establish good habits through Muscle memory of fundamental Wrestling skills.
*Wrestlers in this class should already know a basic stance, penetration Step, and be able to focus and work independently.
Level 3: Refinement
Tues & Thurs 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Objectives: Develop the individual's system of skills and techniques, putting it all together, Smooth Transitions between positions, High intensity drilling with partner reactions
*Wrestlers that are working towards a State or national championship, and plan to travel with us will be the focus in this class. These athletes should attend both Level 2 and Level 3 practices. Level 2 practices will reinforce fundamental wrestling positions through muscle memory and helping others. They will also be able to develop new techniques at level 3 that they can try at level 2 .
